SHIPPING
We strive to ship all packages within 1 business day of ordering from Toronto, Canada using Canada Post.
Tracking? As a small vendor, we simply don’t get the same shipping breaks as Amazon or Walmart do. For most orders, shipping with tracking would cost our customers more than the journals themselves. In order to keep shipping affordable we have opted not to ship with tracking in most cases.
2021 HOLIDAY SHIPPING [IMPORTANT FOR GIFTS!] Throughout the pandemic we have seen shipping delays for both domestic and international orders. We have updated estimated delivery estimates below, but keep in mind the earlier you order, the better chance you have for your order to arrive in time!
CANADA
The shipping standard we use is 8 business days, however have seen packages takes anywhere from 5 - 12 business days to major cities/centres. If you live in more rural areas or small towns, it may take longer. We ship from Toronto ON, so the closer you are the earlier your package will arrive. Shipping times are not guaranteed by Canada Post, and especially during Holiday or busy seasons. If you have any questions about your order - email us!
USA
The shipping standard we use is 7 - 10 business days, however we have seen packages take anywhere from 10 - 15 business days to major cities/centres. If you live in more rural areas or small towns, it may take longer. Shipping times are not guaranteed by USPS & Canada Post, and especially during Holiday or busy seasons. Customs can hold packages for a short period of time, although this is rare. If you have any questions about your order - email us!
International
The shipping standard we use for international orders can vary widely. For larger countries that have established integration with Canada Post, it can take approximately 15+ business days to major cities/centres. If you live in more rural areas or small towns, it may take longer. Shipping times are not guaranteed as once they leave Canada, it is up to your local providers for delivery. Things can be delayed, especially during Holiday or busy seasons. If you have any questions about your order - email us!
What’s with the 2 different journal sizes?
When I started TrainRite Fitness, I had originally designed the Compact Fitness Journal for myself to use to plan my workouts and track my progress. I designed it to be super small to easily carry it with me to my gym, and also without all the wasted pages other journals have because I just didn’t use them. It turns out so many other people loved that about it!
Unfortunately as my business grew, some customers didn’t really read the product details of what they were buying, and were disappointed in the features that had made my product so unique in the first place! So in 2020, we designed a larger journal from scratch - the Complete Fitness Journal. This journal addresses some of the feedback we have received from customers in the past: it’s larger with has more space to write and more exercises to log, and is more comprehensive with goal and workout regimen planning sections. Not to mention more measurement tracking and notes sections. Even though this journal is larger it’s also pretty portable!
Pricing
Everyone once in a while we get asked “why do these cost so much? I can get little notebooks at the dollar store for a couple of bucks!” Sure, you could.
Our products are designed, manufactured and shipped locally here in Toronto. What you buy in the dollar store or other stationery is almost always massed produced in China/overseas. What this means is either we design, or pay contracted designers a living wage to be a part of the team. Our manufacturing team is also local to the Greater Toronto Area - nothing is sent to China to be mass produced on a large scale, we do it all here. It costs real money to employ our partners, and we are proud to have been able to make this business work without going overseas.
In addition to keeping our business local, our products really are an invaluable tool when they are used as designed and consistently. The format of the journals force you to plan in advance, put some real thought into how you can achieve your goals, and as long as you stick to your plan you will see results. You won’t find that at your local dollar store :)
Custom / Bulk Orders?
Yes we do both custom and bulk orders for quantities over 50! Want your own logo on the cover? Need to place a large order and want bulk pricing? We do that!

Note that we only currently customize the covers of the journals. The body pages will not be customized because that can take a very long time to design properly.
